We have made a company-wide commitment to achieving

excellence in the manufacturing process, with emphasis on

computer-controlled systems. To support our efforts toward

excellence, in-process analysis, quality control and strict on-site

quality assurance programs are designed to satisfy the highest

of industry standards. Another key is adherence to Good

Manufacturing Practices as established by the U.S. Food and

Drug Administration (FDA) for the food and feed industries.

The company's Companion Animal plant has consistently achieved certification by the American Institute of Baking (AIB), based on evaluation using the AIB consolidted standards for human food safety criteria. AIB is a non-profit organization supported by the baking and food industries allied trades. The AIB rating is meaningful because it demonstrates that the feed plant is meeting food-grade quality standards. The AIB Consolidated Standards for Food Safety serves as a tool to permit processors to evaluate the food safety risks within their operations to determine levels of compliance with the criteria in the standards.
